Posted by EMPIRE on Friday, November 18, 2011

Usually I take the kids on vacation to Yogyakarta and Surabaya, to fill the school holidays, but this time the kids are bored invited to it, because we spent the Christmas holidays and Lebaranpun in both cities.

One friend asked vacation with his family to his hometown in Tasikmalaya. Agenda tours offered, among others, play mud in rice fields and fishing villages Cibangkong, Panjalu, Galunggung, and Kampung Naga. Puzzled to find a vacation spot for kids, we finally welcomed the offer. Date 4 to 8 July 2008, my family vacation to a place very different from our previous holidays. Usually we are on vacation in Central Java and East Java, West Java now.

Our vacation destination this time is to provide a different holiday atmosphere for young rural anak.Suasana simple while providing learning about nature.

Three family departs from Jakarta at 6:30 am with the group leader to Tasikmalaya Nugraha Pepih family (caregiver Kompas.com). Distance from Jakarta to Tasikmalaya + / - 360 km can be reached within 4-5 hours without a break.

When in town Tasikmalaya, do not miss to enjoy noodles Laksana, although the price of a bowl of noodles is quite expensive for the size of the Tasikmalaya (Rp 25,000 .-), but it feels nyosssss mak ....... Champion!

Day 2 we travel to an area of rice fields and fishing families in the village Cibangkong Nugraha. Children play freely in the fields of new mud unloaded, soak in natural hot springs in the area of rice fields, fishing and enjoying lunch with rustic breeze very cool. The children got to experience the first time close to nature and the countryside feel it directly.

Tourist destination day 3 to Panjalu and Mount Galunggung. Panjalu is the purpose of travel to 3 to Panjalu and Mount Galunggung. Panjalu is a tourist area in the middle of the lake. To go to the mainland we had to rent a boat for Rp 80,000 .- (round trip). Children can help paddle boat headed Panjalu. When he arrived in our land uphill and into the woods while enjoying views of the bat / bats flying around in the morning / afternoon. Besides enjoying the cool air and walk through the forest, on the mainland is also there is the tomb of a king Panjalu in the past. Local myth says: "if you come to Panjalu while courting, then your relationship will not last."

After the Panjalu we headed to the tourist area Galunggung, on the way, we break for lunch in a restaurant Mergosari, Rajapolah. We chose a place with views of rice fields saung through which the railway line and ordering seafood, vegetables, crackers and chicken grilled onions and juice drinks for 11 people (6 adults and 5 children). The food is very tasty and the price is quite cheap, USD 182,000 .- for all foods and drinks that we ordered. In this Rajapolah are we spoiled with typical craft

Tasikmalaya a cheap, ranging from cutlery, household supplies, bags, sandals until the accessories of the price of Rp 5,000 .- up to tens of thousands of dollars.

We continue the journey to Mount Galunggung that erupted with a vengeance in 1982. To go to the top of the mountain we must climb 620 stairs, fatigue that is felt all the way to the top of the mountain scenery off with a very beautiful when we arrived at the summit.

To reach the crater Galunggung and camping areas should be down the stairs (God knows how many), and down below there is also a mosque. Meanwhile, to keep warm while on the mountain top, we can enjoy milk, coffee, hot tea and instant noodles that are sold by local residents.

Still in the area Galunggung, we treat the kids swim in the outdoor hot springs containing sulfur. To swim as much here are free, but to rinse and soak in the rinse room free of charge and Rp 1.500 to Rp 3.000.-/dewasa .-/anak.

Tour day 4 to Naga village. The journey from Tasikmalaya to approximately Naga village to within 2-3 hours. Kampung Naga is a village which preserved their culture for generations and is located in the district of Garut. This village does not allow its citizens to use electricity, let alone take advantage of entering the forbidden forest wood as fuel. Except for mobile phones and television as a communication tool and that too must use the battery. If the discharged battery, must be completed outside the village. Similarly, the school, the children every day have to go up the stairs to the outside of the village to school.

To go to the teletak Naga village in the basin / valley, we had to descend + / -320 steps. All the way down we enjoy the view plots of terraced rice fields and trees with a cool breeze. When he arrived in the township are well organized, we like being in a cluster of real estate in Jakarta, because all the houses were uniform, with white chalk (not allowed to use paint) and built with the same model. Home building materials Naga villagers all come from nature that is stone, wood and fibers except glass window roof. Because of all the building materials taken from nature and citizens must remain to preserve and maintain the ecosystem in their environment, then the number of homes is limited to 112 units only, not be added. If there are new residents required to set up a foster home outside his home in the township.

According to our tour guide, mang dumpling (local residents), although no official publication of the Naga villages, such as booklets or brochures promotion (because it should not be commercialized), the village is visited by many local and foreign tourists. Based on the guestbook, foreign tourists who visited this village comes from Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Japan, France, United Kingdom, America, Germany, Netherlands etc. as well as foreign and local school students. In addition to learning about the simplicity of this village, the children also can play shallow water in the river with crystal clear water that can not be found in Jakarta.

After playing in his hometown Naga satisfied we headed Dariza Lake Resort as an end in our trip. This resort is perfect for a family place to stay, because the concept of houses on stilts surrounded by artificial lakes. So that the children are satisfied playing water bikes and paddle boats. In addition there is a swimming pool hot / cold and fishing pond.

Day 5, before returning to Jakarta, we stopped for lunch at the restaurant Cibiuk (not far from the resort of Lake Dariza) and buy souvenirs typical of Garut. On the way to Jakarta Kopo we parted on the highway, because the family would stop in Bandung Nugraha and family Syamsir Sukabumi stop in while we went straight to Jakarta.

It was a very memorable holiday for us and the kids. The first experience for the kids on holiday with his teammates in the countryside, and fishing hobby photography hobby for her husband and traveling and shopping unique items typical of the local area for me.

We want to vacation together again because the agenda is more exciting and memorable.
